Melissa Manson is a third generation painter. After a lifetime around painters and their friends she has continued the creative tradition, becoming a teacher and mentor for others.

"Applying paint to a surface, I imagine how musicians or writers might feel when they move us with soulful music, or reach another person with expressive words. One of my earliest recollections of childhood is standing in front of a beautiful painting and feeling a rush of emotion, energy, pleasure and awe. I hope to inspire the essence of those feelings in others as well as myself with color, texture, image, light, and movement. "
